Hi everybody, it has been a long time since I last updated my blog.All these while I still continued doing some baking here & there, but I was too lazy to update ...ha...ha...sorry!
1st May was my nephew Wei Jhin's birthday...he requested a cheese cake, so I decided to bake him the New York Cheese cake. Recipe was taken from http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chantals-New-York-Cheesecake/Detail.aspx
Although my chocolate ganache was quite messy, 1st time doing... but all of us enjoyed this cake very much.jpg)

Although the ganache is not like the usual one, smooth at the side, but this way also looks not bad, 别有一番风味。

Actually I bought the wrong cream for the ganache, that's why the surface is not shinning, but overall the cake is still very yummy...will definately make again.

My skill of making cake is still very poor...need lots of practise. To tell u the truth, when I decided to make this cake, I was actually quite anxious because it's for birthday occasion. If I failed, I would have headache to come out with another cake. Luckily everything turned out great. The best part was I replaced the sour cream which is much more fattening to plain yoghurt. So we won't be too guilty if we indulged ourself the second helping...ha...ha.. You can call me anything time if u feel like making it, ok!
